In its first decade USC has put its mark on the map, establishing itself as a producer of highly satisfied students, with an accomplished staff of academics creating links and synergies across the Sunshine Coast.
A strong regional university is crucial for the Sunshine Coast community. It helps retain the best and brightest minds in the region. It develops skills and jobs for local industry, it helps understand and protect its environment, it informs the region’s governing bodies and decision makers, it keeps its population healthy and active, and it nurtures a vibrant arts and cultural life.
To take us into the next decade, the University has identified its immediate priorities and embarked upon a fundraising campaign called Building Excellence.
The campaign focuses on three prioritised initiatives: leadership in health and sport, student access through scholarships and bursaries, and campus enhancement.
I believe that the Sunshine Coast is one of the world’s great and unique communities, and I ask individuals and businesses to invest in its future by supporting the University’s campaign. A robust, well-supported university will keep the Sunshine Coast innovative and looking forward towards its healthy, prosperous future.
