USC has a close regional alliance with Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE to offer dual award programs and investigate options for end to end education service delivery, and also has links with Wide Bay Insitute of TAFE.
Schools
USC has close practical links with schools in the region through the Headstart program, events and a range of other initiatives that introduce regional school students to the university campus experience. This extends to activities such as joint use of the University's Library and sports facilities, and community access to the Art Gallery and other facilities.
Specific schools activities include:
- working with Sunshine Coast high schools to offer the Headstart program (a Year 11 and 12 university experience) to local high school students
- assisting Immanuel Lutheran College to host and support the Voices on the Coast Youth Literature Festival on campus
Environmental partnerships
USC operates research and education activities on Fraser Island, operating Dilli Village Research and Learning Centre and working with Kingfisher Bay Resort and Village.
The University has also had a long-standing agreement with Australia Zoo to collaborate on research projects and share expertise.
