The purpose of the research is to develop knowledge about appropriate management models for public sector health managers that aim to enhance social capital. In particular, the study seeks to identify the impact of social capital factors on the commitment of nurses and identify evidence-based ways of reducing their turnover.

Evaluating the particiaption of older Australians in the arts supply chain - a case study of seniors on the Sunshine Coast
This pilot study examines the participation of older Australians in the arts in the Sunshine Coast region of Australia to determine their contribution to the arts economy.This study will provide much needed data to support the development of policy, services and capital works to meet the need and demand of older Australians in the arts.

Improving re-employment opportunities among mature age men:  A pilot health intervention
The Primary aim of this project is to investigate whether a multidisciplinary health program for mature age male jobseekers, who have been unemployed for a period of 12 months or greater, can make a measurable difference to their physiological health. The program will seek to address the negative health consequences which result from individuals being unemployed. The project will also investigate participant job seeking behaviours to identify whether the program motivates these individuals to actively engage in job seeking activities, to increase their participation in the community, such as undertaking voluntary work, or assists them to reengage in the workforce.

Fostering enterprising human capital growth in regions with high concentrations of seniors:  Engagement, innovation and productivity
The research will show how the economic growth prospects of low growth regions in Australia, currently at the forefront of rapid increases in senior aged population through 'lifestyle' migration, can be enhanced by building a learning and innovation strategy into the enterprising human capital capacities of the productive ageing.

Biological Baseline Survey of ex-HMAS Brisbane artificial Reef
The project is designed to provide a baseline biological assessment of the ex-HMAS Brisbane artificial reef site. The project involves the collection and analysis of data to document the progress of colonisation and ecological succession patterns of marine life on the ex-HMAS wreck.

Indigenous attachment, engagement and protocol in natural and cultural heritage management
This project aims to understand the place-specific notions of indigenous attachment to country and social relationships, so that these can be represented within community engagement processes and protocols that are specific to two indigenous communities in the Burnett Mary region.

The project involves working with 18 students in order to produce artwork for a new building at the school and involves computer workshops and interaction with local industry.
