Excellence scholarships
The University of the Sunshine Coast is offering the following scholarships to students commencing their studies in 2009 who have achieved excellence in academic and sporting endeavours:
In order to be eligible for any of these awards, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident. International students are not eligible to apply. Scholarships will be awarded in accordance with University policies and procedures.
USC Chancellor's Scholarships (2)
Eligible: Students commencing their first undergraduate degree
Value: A$12,000 ($4,000 per year for 3 years)

The University of the Sunshine Coast Chancellor's Scholarships are awarded to recognise, reward and encourage academic excellence.
Renouf Family Scholarships (2)
Eligible: Students commencing their first undergraduate degree
Value: A$12,000 ($4,000 per year for 3 years)

The Renouf Family Scholarships were established in 2008 by Sir Clem Renouf in memory of his parents for their sacrifice in giving him the best educational opportunity possible, under challenging circumstances.
Tim Fairfax Regional Scholarships (2)
Eligible: Students commencing their first undergraduate degree who must relocate from a regional or rural area
Value: A$12,000 ($4,000 per year for 3 years)

The Tim Fairfax Regional Scholarships were established in 2008 by Mr Tim Fairfax in order to support students who must move away from their home residence in a regional or remote area to undertake their university studies.
Caloundra RSL Sub-Branch Scholarship
Eligible : First or second year students who attended high school in Caloundra or are permanent residents of Caloundra
Value: Tuition fees for first year (approx value between A$4000 - $7000) plus A$1000

Established in 2005 by the Caloundra RSL Sub-Branch to assist a local young person with study related expenses. The scholarship is available to a student commencing their first or second year of any undergraduate program at the University of the Sunshine Coast. In order to be eligible, the student must have attended high school in Caloundra or be a permanent resident of Caloundra.
ANZ Bank Scholarship
Eligible: Students who have graduated from high school within the last five (5) years and are enrolled full-time in any undergraduate program in the Faculty of Business and have successfully completed at least 3 courses at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Value: A$5,000

This Scholarship is being offered for the first time in 2007 to students in the Faculty of Business. It is the intent of the Scholarship to encourage students who have demonstrated leadership qualities in either their school or community to undertake their undergraduate degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Les and Mary Hall Family Scholarship in Engineering (1)
Eligible: Commencing students in Bachelor of Engineering (with a preference to Construction Management)
Value: A$5,000 over 4 years

Students must enrol full-time and commence study in a Bachelor of Engineering at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Recipients must have achieved a high academic standard and be able to demonstrate financial need.
Neuendorf Group Scholarships (2)
Eligible: Year 12 graduates from a secondary school in the areas covered by the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Gympie or Somerset Regional Council areas
Value: A$5,000 over 3 years

Students must enrol full-time and commence study in an undergraduate program at the University of the Sunshine Coast in the year immediately following their graduation from secondary school. Recipients must have achieved a high academic standard, demonstrated a commitment to achieving their goals and be able to demonstrate financial need.

Poole and Partners Scholarship in Accounting
Eligible: Students studying the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) full-time, and have graduated from secondary school during the previous three years.
Value: $3,500 over three years

Established in 2005 this bursary is awarded based on academic performance as well as financial community involvement. Applicants must reside in the Sunshine Coast Regional Council area.

Vic Walker Memorial Scholarship
Eligible: Year 12 graduates from Immanuel Lutheran College

Established in 2000 by Jocelyn Walker in memory of her husband, Vic Walker, the scholarship is available to a graduate from Immanuel Lutheran College who commences a USC degree in the year immediately following their completion of secondary school.
