Deferred students
If you currently hold a deferred place in any program at the USC and wish to commence studies in the next available semester/session, listed below are the various options available to you.
Please note that since Semester 1, 2007, students have been given the choice to defer their place for a period of up to two years. If you do not wish to take your deferred place up in the next available semester/session, no further action is required at this stage.
Associate/undergraduate degree programs
To commence your studies in your currently deferred associate/undergraduate program in Semester 1, 2009, download and complete the Application to Take Up Deferred Place Form (PDF 30KB) and forward it to the address indicated at the top of the form by Friday, 28 November 2008.
You will receive a new offer of a place from the University, with further information on how to complete your enrolment unless you indicate that you wish to apply for an alternative program.
If you wish to be considered for an alternative USC associate/undergraduate degree program please specify your new preferred program (in the Change of Program Preference section). Your application to change will be considered on the basis of your eligibility at the time of your original offer through QTAC.
If your application to change is successful, you will receive a new offer of a place from the University, with further information on how to complete your enrolment. If your application to change is unsuccessful, you will still receive a new offer of a place for the program in which you hold a deferred place.
Note
From Semester 1 2009, some new programs will be available, several will no longer be offered and some programs will be renamed. For your information, please refer to the list of USC undergraduate programs that will be on offer in 2009.
Semester-based postgraduate coursework programs
To commence your studies in your currently deferred semester-based postgraduate coursework program in Semester 1 2009, download and complete the Application to Take Up Deferred Place Form (PDF 30KB) and forward it to the address indicated at the top of the form by 12 December 2008. You will receive a new offer of a place from the University with further information on how to complete your enrolment.
Session-based postgraduate coursework programs
To commence studies in your currently deferred session-based postgraduate coursework program (includes Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master in Business Administration, Financial Planning and Management) in Session 3, 2009 or Session 1, 2009, download and complete the Application to Take Up Deferred Place Form (PDF 30KB) and forward it to the address indicated at the top of the form by 30 September 2008 for Session 3 2008 or 30 January 2009 for Session 1 2009.
You will receive a new offer of a place from the University with further information on how to complete your enrolment.
