USC Market Day
Market Day, Tuesday 15 July, starts at 10.30am in the Art Gallery Courtyard. The Official Welcome by Vice-Chancellor Paul Thomas AM is 11.15am in Lecture Theatre 1, Building K. This is followed by performances, stalls, information, give-aways and entertainment.
Make contact with the various USC departments and community organisations that will be of assistance to you during your studies here on campus.
Following the Welcome Sessions, enjoy a free BBQ lunch along with interactive games and entertainment. Find the Student Services/Sport and Recreation Stall to sign up for World Cup Soccer, Residential Shield and Australian University Games. During the afternoon take a break and make yourself a coffee with a free afternoon tea provided by the USC Alumni.
If you're new to the area take a 'New to the Coast' bus tour of Buderim, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba. The tour will help answer your questions about the different services available on the Sunshine Coast, including a trip to local shops, banks, the post office, bus stations, Sunshine Plaza and the cinemas. You'll also be introduced to sporting and recreational venues, entertainment hot spots and other areas of interest.
It's a great opportunity to meet other students who are new to the area and to make some new friends. Please register at Student Services reception, Ground Floor, Building C, or via email studentservices@usc.edu.au.

Lunch Party plus Social Games
This complimentary lunch is a perfect opportunity to meet your fellow students. Get involved in a range of indoor sports and activities at the Uni Club between 12noon–2pm.
Student Guild Welcome Party
You guessed it. The first party of the year!
Come join in with the Student Guild on Wednesday 16 July, for a party at a venue to be advised, 8pm till midnight.
World Cup Soccer
Participate in this fun soccer game and represent your country of origin. Please sign up for this competition on Market Day, Tuesday 15 July at the Sports and Recreational Stall. The soccer game is Wednesday 16 July 2–4pm at the USC sports stadium.

Fraser Island Orientation Camp - Week 1
Here is a chance to relax and meet more USC students while having a great adventure. Stay at the University’s research and education facility at Dilli Village on Fraser Island for two nights from Friday 18 July to Sunday 20 July. Meet some of your lecturers and find out more about your program.
All new students are welcome to attend this optional activity. Cost is A$160.00 and includes bus to Rainbow Beach, 4WD bus to Dilli Village, barge transfers, linen, accommodation and food.
Activities: Bushwalking on some of the island's Great Walks trails, visiting freshwater lakes, fishing, swimming, bird watching, cooking, meeting, learning, talking.

Numbers are limited and payment needs to be made by Wednesday 16 July.

'New to the Coast' bus tour
This one-hour familiarisation bus tour of Buderim, Maroochydore and Mooloolaba on Tuesday 15 July, is for all new students to the Coast/USC. The tour will visit local shops, banks, medical facilities, sporting/recreational venues, entertainment hot spots and other areas of interest.
Buses will depart from outside the Brasserie at 1pm and 2pm.
If you wish to take part in this activity please register at Student Services (Building C) by Tuesday morning of Orientation Week. Places are limited and seats will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.
