Careers in Nursing

If you are considering a career in health care and are looking for one that is rewarding, fulfilling and enjoys job security then you should consider nursing and midwifery. Find out about the endless nursing opportunities available both in Australia and overseas at this information session.
Talk one-on-one with academics, industry representatives such as Queensland Health, Eden Health Care and The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital, as well as current students.

This information session will focus on:
- diversity of careers in nursing
- employment opportunities both in Australia and overseas
- industry perspective
- USC nursing program
- the student experience
- how to apply for study in 2009
Followed by a tour of USC’s state-of-the-art nursing facilities with demonstrations and the opportunity to talk further with nursing staff and students.
Demonstrations include:
- clinical nursing in the hospital setting
- emergency nursing
- midwifery
- mental health nursing
- paediatrics and community nursing
