Course-related costs

The cost of books and other course-related materials depends on the courses studied. As a general guide, allow A$400 per semester for new textbooks.

English Language Program students are given textbooks on a loan system to be returned once the course is completed.

Some courses require additional materials, for example laboratory coats (from A$28) or art supplies. Students taking Design courses should allow at least A$60 to A$100 per semester for materials and printing costs.

The Co-op Bookshop is located on the ground floor of the Information Communications Technology Centre (Building J). Second-hand textbooks can become available at reduced prices—check the student forums on the USC portal.
