Academic English Intermediate (Direct Entry English Pathway 2 / IELTS Preparation)

The Academic English Intermediate program is excellent preparation for further studies, including TAFE and diploma level courses. This 10-week program articulates into the Academic English Upper Intermediate (Direct Entry English Pathway 3 / IELTS Preparation). This full-time (25 hours per week) intermediate level program offers:

  • skills to participate in seminars and lectures
  • essay writing
  • assessment includes assignments, reading and listening tests and an oral presentation
  • use of University facilities and resources
  • IELTS exam preparation
  • a certificate on course completion (if satisfactorily attended)

Direct Entry English Pathway

Academic English Upper Intermediate (Direct Entry English Pathway 3 / IELTS Preparation)

This 10-week Academic English Upper Intermediate program is excellent preparation for further studies, including university degree programs. This full-time (25 hours per week) upper intermediate level course offers students:

  • academic skills and study strategies
  • practice with assessment items similar to those encountered during university studies
  • assessment including assignments, reading and listening tests and an oral presentation
  • use of University facilities and resources
  • entry to the University of the Sunshine Coast upon satisfactory and full completion of the direct entry assessment
  • IELTS Exam preparation
  • a certificate on course completion (if satisfactorily attended)
