Please note:
Speaking interviews will be conducted on the Friday prior to all scheduled Saturday test, unless otherwise advised.

IELTS test application process

• Candidates must read the Information Candidate Booklet (PDF 492KB) before applying for an IELTS test.
• Candidates will be placed in the test of their first preference where there are available spaces. If there are no available test spaces in the candidate's first preference and no second preference has been specified, applications will be returned.
• After the application has been processed a confirmation letter will be sent by post to candidates. This can take from seven to ten working days from receipt of the application. 
• Specimen materials are available to purchase in person from this centre. The cost of specimen materials is A$33 (plus A$11 postage).
• Applications by fax will not be accepted.
• All incomplete applications will be returned.

Application documentation

An application for an IELTS test must include:

• a signed IELTS Application Form (PDF 224KB)
• a IELTS GST Declaration and Payment Form (PDF 55KB)
• Select a payment method:
  • credit card payment - fill in the credit card details section on the IELTS GST Declaration and Payment Form (PDF 55KB)
  • money order or bank cheque payment - make payable to the "University of the Sunshine Coast" for A$280 (no GST) or A$308 (GST inclusive). Refer to the IELTS GST Declaration and Payment Form (PDF 55KB) to find out if you are required to pay GST
• 2 passport photos (taken within the last 6 months)
• a photocopy of the details page/s of your passport (this may be one or two pages and must include your photo, passport number, date of birth and the passport expiry date)

Passports

Passports must be valid at the time of registration and up to and including the test date. It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport on the test day.
