Accepting your offer
If your application for entry to the University is successful, you will be notified by email and an Offer Letter and pre-departure information will be sent to you.
If your application is not successful, the University will send an email outlining the reasons why you have not been made an offer, and may suggest pathways for gaining successful admission in the future.
Your Offer Letter and pre-departure information includes:
Accepting your offer will involve:
- completing and returning a Response to Offer form (undergraduate and postgraduate students) or
- confirming your acceptance (English Language Programs students)
- payment of tuition fees
- booking accommodation and airport transfers
The exact procedures will vary depending on your program of study and whether you are enrolling through a partner institution, University representative or independently.
If enrolling through a partner institution, your home Study Abroad or International Office may make the above arrangements for you. Please check with your home Study Abroad or International Office for details.
After accepting your offer if you are studying on a student visa, you will receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) needed for your student visa application.
Methods of payment
Payment of fees must be made in Australian dollars, in the form of a credit card payment, or by direct transfer into the University's account. Credit cards accepted include Visa and MasterCard. Information on how to pay your fees will be sent to you with your offer. Please contact USC International if you require more information.
Conditional offers
In some cases, the University may make a conditional offer. This means that your offer of a place is subject to you meeting certain requirements before you can start your studies.
For example, where English requirements have not been met, the University may make you a conditional offer subject to you meeting English requirements. In this case you should provide evidence that you have met English requirements, such as Direct Entry English Pathway or IELTS test results, as soon as they become available and before the start of classes.
Undergraduate and postgraduate student enrolment in courses
An important step in your enrolment is to register for the courses (subjects or classes) you will undertake during your first semester of study. Registration involves selecting lecture and tutorial times for each course of enrolment and is completed online using Student OnLine Access and Registration (SOLAR). For online enrolment instructions read our International Enrolment Guide 2008 (PDF 1400KB).
Only students who meet all the conditions of their offer and have accepted and paid their first semester fees will be able to register online. Information on how and when to register online is sent to you with your Offer or pre-departure information.
After you have registered in courses you will be able to view and print your class timetable. Please note, timetable changes may occur and you should re-check your timetable at the start of each semester.
