Far Fetched Etch by Judith Rosenberg and Sunshine Coast by John Coburn

Thursday 4 March–Thursday 1 April

A former zoological and botanical illustrator, printmaker Judith Rosenberg presents a series of limited edition prints that include artists’ proofs and artists’ books. A celebration of her love of the difficult and exacting art-form of printmaking, Rosenberg explores the sensual nature of tropical Queensland but with a twist—sprites, dreamscapes, fishes and crabs, twining leaves and luscious human forms often leading to the bizarre and mysterious.

In conjunction with Far Fetched Etch will be a series of works by the late artist John Coburn (Australia 1925–2006). Coburn was commissioned by the University of the Sunshine Coast in 1998 to paint Sunshine Coast and then prepare 12-colour limited edition prints on Velin Arches paper. Also on display will be his working drawing and other material to trace the process of fine art printmaking.
