ICT services for staff

A lecture in progress

Staff have on campus and remote access to a comprehensive set of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) services including:

  • a networked destop computer or laptop for staff (sessional/ casual staff may have shared computers), with a standard set of software in an MOE environment
  • a network account with access to a range of applications and systems, including the internet
  • an email account, with on campus Groupwise access and remote WebAccess 
  • the USC portal that delivers web access to email, information resources, discussion boards, and with access to the University's online learning system (Blackboard) for teaching purposes
  • TrainStation online access to training; other guides and consultation services
  • wireless access from some areas on campus
  • a multimedia production studio providing services for the flexible and online delivery of academic programs
  • rich instructional and audiovisual technologies in lecture theatres and teaching spaces to assist with the development and delivery of courses
  • access to printing, copying, faxing and scanning resources (in coordination with Mail and Print Services MaPS)
  • IT and AV equipment loans, ie projectors, laptops
  • technical and service enquiries via the IT Service Desk
