The University currently operates one wholly owned company (controlled entity): the Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast Pty Ltd (ICSC).
Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast Pty Ltd (ICSC)
The mission of ICSC is to foster job creation in sustainable high-tech businesses on the Sunshine Coast. The company's emphases are on the development of a Knowledge Precinct at Sippy Downs, and benefitting from links with the University.
ICSC's key objectives are to:
- further develop the business incubation and business development services offered by the University of the Sunshine Coast Innovation Centre to new and growing high-tech businesses
- develop and manage the Accelerator for incubator graduate companies and for other knowledge-based businesses
- develop student innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, and
- contribute to the growth of employment in knowledge-based sectors in the region.
