Financial Services

Financial Services provides support to the University community in relation to:

  • procurement
  • accounts payable and receivable
  • cash and asset management
  • the Financial Information System
  • reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • risk management
  • audit
  • financial compliance
  • tenders
  • superannuation
  • salary packaging
  • payroll, and
  • leave

The Director of Finance is responsible for a range of commercial activities and advising the Vice-Chancellor and Council on budget and financial risk management.

Financial Services has three major goals:

  • Goal 1: Provide timely and relevant external and internal information (eg reports), with achievement measured to compliance to standards and regulatory frameworks and customer feedback.
  • Goal 2: Provide high quality financial and business services to maintain and improve the University’s long term viability, with achievement measured by reputation and financial success.
  • Goal 3: As people, engage the business through the development of an action-oriented, success-driven culture, measured by feedback, turnover, absenteeism and achievements.
