Financial Services provides support to the University community in relation to:
- procurement
- accounts payable and receivable
- cash and asset management
- the Financial Information System
- reports for internal and external stakeholders
- risk management
- audit
- financial compliance
- tenders
- superannuation
- salary packaging
- payroll, and
- leave
The Director of Finance is responsible for a range of commercial activities and advising the Vice-Chancellor and Council on budget and financial risk management.
Financial Services has three major goals:
- Goal 1: Provide timely and relevant external and internal information (eg reports), with achievement measured to compliance to standards and regulatory frameworks and customer feedback.
- Goal 2: Provide high quality financial and business services to maintain and improve the University’s long term viability, with achievement measured by reputation and financial success.
- Goal 3: As people, engage the business through the development of an action-oriented, success-driven culture, measured by feedback, turnover, absenteeism and achievements.
