University Foundation
The University Foundation has been established to assist the University in its growth and development. The University Foundation also provides valuable networking opportunities for alumni, community members, and friends of the University.
Established in 1998, the key activities of the University Foundation are:
- assisting alumni and friends to maintain contact with each other and the University
- building strong relationships with the community
- reporting the progress of this support and how it aids the University's development
Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Paul Thomas AM, and Foundation Chair, Mr Tim Fairfax AM (1997–2009) work with a group of dedicated volunteers, including the University Foundation Board, to build long-term relationships with the community. These relationships are extremely important to our rapidly growing University.
In 2008 the University Foundation completed its first major fundraising campaign, Building Excellence, surpassing its $5 million goal to support USC’s new Health and Sport Centre, scholarships and bursaries, and campus enhancement.
