Information Technology Services
IT Services provides a range of services to the University community through the development, delivery and support of information and communication technologies. Services are delivered in support of student computing and staff computing as well as to support the administration and operations of the University, including:
- service desk and IT support
- student computing and laboratory services
- desktop and personal computing services
- eLearning and multimedia services
- educational technology and audiovisual services
- corporate and administrative applications
- electronic mail
- website, USC portal and web services
- file and storage services
- printing services (in conjunction with Reprographics)
- research and advanced technology computing
- account management and IT security
- network infrastructure, internet and data centre services
- telephone services
ICT governance within the University is supported by the ICT Board as well as by a number of application and service support groups. New ICT initiatives are subject to formal project management methodology and practices.
IT Services also provides IT purchasing and asset management activities in support of the University's ICT environment.
