Office of Marketing and Communications
The Office of Marketing and Communications performs all marketing and media-related functions on behalf of the University. This includes:
- market research
- strategic planning
- advertising
- media liaison
- student recruitment
- school relationships
- community engagement
- ceremonies and events
- web management and development
- print publications and digital communications
Marketing and Communications' Mission:
To communicate and collaborate with University and community stakeholders to enhance the University's reputation, influence and relationships in the region and beyond.
Marketing and Communications staff:
- The Director, Marketing and Communications oversees the functions of the office and is responsible for strategic planning, market research, corporate image and advertising. The Director reports to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International and Development).
- The Marketing Administration Officer provides administrative, advertising, merchandise and event support to the office.
- The External Relations Coordinator manages relationships with schools and coordinates programs and events to engage prospective students and members of the community with the University.
- The School Liaison Officer manages school programs that provide assistance and information to prospective students.
- The Media Relations Coordinator facilitates the flow of information between the University and the media, ensuring the University receives broad media coverage to reinforce its positive image in the community. The Media Relations Coordinator is also responsible for producing the University's quarterly Community Magazine, and other corporate information.
- The Communications Manager is responsible for the implementation of integrated communications programs for the University using a range of marketing and communications functions such as publications (including course and program guides and the University's annual report), the corporate website, digital media, and events (including Graduation and Ministerial visits).
- The Communications Officers are responsible for generating corporate and recruitment material across both print and online media in line with the University’s key messages, market positioning and integrated marketing activities.
- The Design and Production Coordinator manages all graphic design work (electronic and print) for the University, and is responsible for coordinating the graphic design schedule, client liaison, and for maintaining the University's visual image.
- The Graphic Designers are responsible for undertaking graphic design work (electronic and print) for the University.
- The Web Coordinator is responsible for projects involving the University website.
- The Web Assistant manages content on the University website and provides assistance to website authors.
