Strategic Information and Analysis Unit
The Strategic Information and Analysis Unit contributes to the achievement of the University’s goals through:
- Coordinating legislative and compliance reporting requirements
- Provision of evidence based data and analysis consistent with the University’s Quality System to support strategic decision making processes
- Coordinating and reporting on student feedback obtained through a comprehensive suite of surveys
- Developing, deploying and subsequent analysis of University non-academic surveys, including providing support to University and affiliated groups for the development and administration of survey tools
Graduate Pathways Survey
If you completed a program at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2002, you are invited to participate in a national survey that will help USC enhance the quality of its educational programs and graduates’ learning and employment outcomes. As a successful university graduate, your feedback really counts. Complete the Graduate Pathways Survey by 29 August to be in the running to win a A$200 cash prize.
Staff
The Director, Strategic Information and Analysis Unit oversees the functions of the unit and is responsible for advising management on matters of a strategic nature. The Director reports to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International and Quality).
Strategic Information Analysts
Trudi Best coordinates the collection, analysis and reporting of the University’s core performance data (aligned with Key Performance Indicators) including benchmarks consistent with the University’s Quality System.
Joanne Davey coordinates legislative and compliance reporting, reconciliation of University data with government departments and coordinates reports on International student data.
Tanya Tietze coordinates the Australian Graduate Survey (AGS), comprising the Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ/PREQ) and Graduate Destination Survey (GDS), and the Student Feedback on Courses and Student Feedback on Teaching (SFC/SFT) processes.
Otto Wirgau coordinates special projects, surveys and associated analyses contributing to the strategic management of the University.
The Data and Statistics Officer is responsible for the preparation of a range of statistical reports such as admissions, enrolments and time-series reports, and responding to general requests for statistical data.
The Student Feedback Officer is responsible for the administration of the Student Feedback on Courses (SFC) and the Student Feedback on Teaching (SFT) processes together with the Australian Graduate Survey (AGS).
