Studying at University is all about change. Moving away from home, making new friends, giving up a full-time career, or returning to study after many years are just some of the changes you might encounter.
Making a successful transition into tertiary study can be challenging, and initially a little overwhelming. To help you settle in and/or to get timely assistance with problems affecting your studies, Student Services offers the following support:
Student drop-in sessions
- Student Services office:
15 minute drop-in sessions are available with Student Services staff from 12noon–1pm, Monday to Friday. No appointment is necessary for these sessions, but at busy times during the semester, you may have a short wait.
- Academic skills advisers in faculty offices *:
Faculty office drop in days and times will be changed for semester one, 2009. Please contact Student Services for details at the commencement of the semester.
- Library Help Desk:
Academic skills advisers are available in the Library on Monday and Thursday 10am–12noon and on Friday 9–11am during semester.
