Community work placements
Community work placements introduce students to community work through a fieldwork placement where students learn through the actual experience of working in a community agency.
The fieldwork placement gives students the opportunity to apply the skills and ideas they encounter in community work courses in a practical setting, to establish professional relationships and to establish a professional identity. The fieldwork placement is more than just work experience - it is a learning experience where theory and practice are integrated.
