Faculty research
Research in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences encompasses a broad range of academic fields and disciplines. Supervision is available in many of the program area offered in the School of Social Sciences and the School of Communication.
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences researchers are committed to scholarly inquiry, creativity and innovation. Students wishing to undertake research at postgraduate or honours level should scan our academic staff profiles to examine the specific research interests and current research projects of staff .

Current students in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences undertake a range of honours projects, psychology honours projects and higher degrees by research projects.
As an honours research student or a postgraduate higher degrees research student you will not only enhance your own employment prospects, but in contributing to advancing and applying knowledge, you will play an active role in shaping a better future for all.
The faculty’s areas of research strength align with the Regional Sustainability Research Group and the Visual Research Group.
The Faculty also runs fortnightly research seminars during the teaching semester to present the work of national and international academics, faculty staff and doctoral students.
