Profile
Greg Nash is a lecturer in communication and currently completing his Doctorate of Creative Arts entitled Assimilating Eden. A baker turned academic, Greg dreamed of becoming an author but has also discovered a love of communication. Greg began his undergraduate degree in January 2002 at the University of the Sunshine Coast and started teaching in 2005 at the commencement of his Honours.
Greg has taught communication, Australian cultural studies, creative writing and public relations. Greg has a keen interest in the experience of first year students and those returning to study from the workforce. Greg is also a founding member and actively involved in Scriber Space, a community of past and present students of creative writing from the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Greg's main research focus is the influence of science fiction on contemporary society and how contemporary mainstream science fiction might shape future society and culture. His other research interests include communication, education and creative writing.
