Profile
Dr Dixie Statham is the manager of USC's Psychology Clinic and teaches in the postgraduate clinical program. Prior to joining USC in 2008, Dixie held a position of Senior Research Manager with the Queensland Institute of Medical Research (QIMR) in the area of Genetic Epidemiology (behavioural and psychiatric genetics).
Dr Statham has maintained a clinical practice on a part-time basis for many years and has also worked as a visiting psychologist at the Alcohol and Drug Assessment Unit at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, specialising in the cognitive behavioural treatment of alcohol dependence.
Dr Statham has a keen interest in professional supervision and is an approved Board supervisor (Psychologist’s Board of Queensland). She is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and of the College of Clinical Psychologists
