Profile
Francesco Ricatti is the Cassamarca Lecturer in Italian. In 1999 he graduated in Contemporary Italian Literature from the University of Rome La Sapienza and recently completed his PhD at the University of Sydney. The title of Francesco's PhD thesis was Embodying Italian migrants: impossible dialogues, spectral fantasies and the body. Letters to Mamma Lena (La Fiamma, 1956-1964).
His main research interest focuses on the relation between body and popular culture in Italian and transnational contexts.
