Profile

Associate Professor Johanna Rosier is the Program Leader of the Regional and Urban Planning program at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia. She is also continuing research focused on evaluation of the effectiveness of coastal plans in both Queensland and New Zealand.

Johanna arrived at the University of the Sunshine Coast after living in New Zealand, where she was the coordinator of the resource and environmental planning program at Massey University. Her research also focused on coastal planning, and protection of the natural character of coastal landscapes. In 2004, she was appointed by the Minister of Conservation to independently review the effectiveness of the New Zealand Coastal Policy Statement.

Johanna lectures in the areas of planning theory, environmental and planning law and conservation policy.
