Profile

Associate Professor Meredith Lawley worked for market research companies prior to becoming an academic in the late 1980s. She has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate level using a variety of modes and is actively supervising several higher degree research students.

2004 A$68,562 Lawley M ‘Improving Multimodal Equivalence: Assessment and Moderation’, Project Director, Australian Vice-Chancellors’ Committee This project investigated the equivalence of assessment and moderation practices across a variety of modes of delivery of transnational education. Input was sought from all stakeholders including students, academics and administrators to identify areas of concern and as a result systems and procedures were developed to improve equivalence for all stakeholders.

‘Improving Operator Support and Selection Processes’ ACARP This project was the basis of a student's DBA and investigated the factors impacting on the performance of dragline operators with a view to developing better recruitment and selection procedures for this type of position.

Based on survey results, resources were developed and made available to these online students.
