Profile

Peter Baxter has over 13 years experience in teaching a wide range of accounting courses at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Central Queensland University and the University of Southern Queensland. Peter has also worked in the audit division of Coopers and Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers). He is a member of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ).

Peter graduated with his Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2007. His dissertation examined the relationship between audit committees and financial reporting quality for a sample of Australian publicly listed companies. To assist in the completion of his dissertation, Peter was awarded an AFAANZ/CPA Australia/ICAA PhD Scholarship in 2006.
