Profile

Dr Murray is the Associate Professor in Human Resource Management and Leader in Management at USC. His work experience and background is extensive including external consultancies and linkage grants with some of Australia’s largest public and private companies including the Department of Public Works and Services in NSW, Australian Nuclear Science Technology Organisation, Hawker de Havilland, Sunrice, and Energy Australia. He has taught extensively at different Australian Universities including the University of Technology, University of Sydney, University of Western Sydney, and Macquarie University, and has both developed and delivered academic programs in China, Sri Lanka, Singapore and India.

Dr Murray has been recognised for his work in the construction industry with a Master Builders award for excellence for his contribution to training. His work in organisational learning has been used extensively by the New South Wales State Government in developing learning networks.

In his most recent publications, Dr Murray has focused on improving the change processes of companies by linking learning routines with change methodologies. He has co-authored and edited several books including Contemporary Issues in Management and Organisational Behaviour published by Thomson Learning in 2006. During 2009, he is co-editing a research book on Women at Work in Australia which will make a major contribution to identifying institutional and social barriers for working women by promoting equity at work. In addition to this, he has co-authored and published over 30 academic book chapters and international articles in leading journals including Supply Chain Management, Management Learning, and Knowledge and Process Management. Dr Murray is committed to improving learning processes in different organisational contexts which in turn lead to superior organisational performance.
