Profile
Dr Aaron Wiegand was awarded his PhD in computational modelling of atmospheric chemistry from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 1998. He held a five-year term at QUT as a post doctoral research fellow, during which time he supervised PhD and Masters research students. Dr Wiegand also developed and coordinated a third-year course in environmental modelling as well as lecturing in environmental chemistry and climatology. In addition to his research in air pollution, Dr Wiegand holds an interest in modelling the growth and propagation of plants and forests.
As a scientific programmer, he actively pursues the development of computational tools to assist with the delivery, teaching and assessment of difficult concepts and topics.
