Profile

Rachel began her midwifery career in the United Kingdom through a direct entry midwifery program. She has practised midwifery within a range of care models and settings including hospitals, birth centres, community and homebirth. Rachel has also been involved in clinical midwifery education and parent education for many years. More recently she has run an independent midwifery practice on the Sunshine Coast providing care throughout the transition to parenthood. Rachel is currently working on a PhD at USC exploring midwifery practice during the second stage of labour.
