Profile
Angela has been actively involved in coaching science since 1987. From 1990 to 2002 she worked for the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) in both the Australian Institute of Sport and Participation Divisions as a science editor, coach educator, and high performance consultant. Angela has over 50 publications mostly designed to inform coaches, athletes and officials, about sports science applications to their training and coaching practices.
Angela is an authority on recovery training and has worked extensively with many high performance teams, athletes, coaches, officials, and national sporting organisations. These have included consultancies with Tennis Australia, Davis and Federation Cup squads, Australian Rugby Union, Wallaby and Brumbies teams, Surf Life Saving, AFL; Brisbane and Balmain, rugby league squads, New Zealand Rugby Union, Athletics New Zealand, UK Coaching, Sport Canada, the Hong Kong Sports Institute, South African Swimming, US Swimming Coaches Association, and the Cirque du Soleil in Montreal, plus others.
Angela is undertaking a PhD on science communication for coaches, through the Australian National University. She is a consultant and course reviewer for the Coach and Officiating Unit of the Australian Sports Commission.
