Profile

Ms Robyn Parkes Sandri is the granddaughter of a Stolen Generation Aboriginal woman from the Gungarri people in south west Queensland. Robyn trained as an early childhood teacher in Queensland and has taught in Australia, England and America. She has lectured in Education, Research and Writing in the United States for 10 years. She returned to Australia to work in Indigenous Education and Human Rights issues.

She is also a published fiction author. Her fiction and academic practice focus on the theme of people “fitting” and “finding home”, which reflects her own quest to find her place “across cultures”.
