Reciprocal borrowing
USC students and staff
Students and staff of this university are eligible to register to borrow from another university that participates in the University Library Australia agreement. Conditions and registration details are accessible via the University Library Australia site.
Local conditions apply, so it is important to check the website of the university library where you intend to register. Some universities rmay require a A$50 registration fee. Borrowing must be in person. Students enrolled in tertiary preparation courses are not eligible.
Members of other universities borrowing from USC
Reciprocal borrowing is available to staff and students of universities which participate in the University Library Australia agreement. Students enrolled through Open Universities Australia (previously Open Learning Australia) do not have access to reciprocal borrowing.
Under the agreement the borrowing conditions are set by the host institution, taking into consideration a number of factors including the size of the collection and demand on resources.
As borrowing conditions at this Library may vary from those at your home institution it is important that you familiarise yourself with the conditions outlined below as failure to do so may result in penalties.
The Library collection has been developed to support the teaching and research needs of the staff and students of the University of the Sunshine Coast so you may find that we do not hold some of the resources that you need.
The Library at your home institution is the best source of information in these instances.
You can access the library databases from a number of designated computers within the Library that do not require authentication. We are not able to provide remote access to databases for reciprocal members due to licensing restrictions.
You will have remote access to databases via your home institution.
