IP Australia is the federal government agency that grants rights in patents, trademarks and designs.
This site includes information about intellectual property, as well as searchable databases of patents, designs and trademarks.
It also has a comprehensive list of links to Australian and international sites related to intellectual property.

The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) is responsible for the promotion of the protection of intellectual property throughout the world through cooperation among states, and for the administration of various multilateral treaties dealing with the legal and administrative aspects of intellectual property.
