The University of the Sunshine Coast Library Catalogue lists books, serial titles, videos and other audio-visual material held in the University of the Sunshine Coast Library.

Serial articles are not listed apart from those articles listed as readings on course outlines for specific courses.

You can search the library catalogue for author, title, subject, keywords and combinations of these search types, as well as your patron information.

All items have a call number and are normally catalogued using the Library of Congress Classification System.

To find an item in the library, write down the call number and location which is displayed on the catalogue screen. Retrieve items using the call number.

Accessing the Library Catalogue

To access the library catalogue:

The library catalogue is available both on campus and off campus. It is not restricted to staff and students of the University and can be searched by anyone from any location.

Navigating the Catalogue

Navigation links are available at the top of catalogue screens.

The first set of buttons at the top of the screen are to return to search screens (Basic, Keyword, Expert, Search Other Libraries, Reserve, Your Patron record and Set Search Limits).

There is also a link for the Library Calendar, which contains details of library events.

Underneath these are links to utilise various features of the catalogue (New session, Close session, Save session, Cart, View History, Help and Library home).

Above and below the list of search results are links to move between pages of results (previous screen, next screen).

When you finish searching on all Library workstations, it is important to close the catalogue session. This erases the memory file for your search, deleting any records saved in the cart and erasing the search history. To finish, click the Close Session link on the middle navigation bar.

For more assistance, contact the Information Desk at infodesk@usc.edu.au.
