There is a wealth of sources of information available through the University of the Sunshine Coast Library including:

  • dictionaries
  • encyclopedias
  • books
  • electronic databases, including both indexes and full-text
  • journals, magazines and newspapers (available in print or electronically via databases)
  • course readings
  • statistics
  • local planning documents
  • AV materials including videos and CDRoms
  • websites relating to courses studied at the University of the Sunshine Coast

Before deciding where to look for information you will need to consider what type of information you need.

You will need to use a different approach if researching for a lengthy analytical essay than you would if you were writing a five hundred word overview because the amount of information and the depth of information you need will be different.

The checklists on the next page will help you determine where to start looking for information.
