Retrieving material from the shelves

Library staff will retrieve items from the general collection.

You will need to supply a list of items required for retrieval to the Loans Desk.

Requests must be presented in person—email or phone requests will not be accepted as we are unable to hold books for you.

Staff will retrieve your requests as soon as possible.

Extended loans

Undergraduate students may apply to the Access Services Coordinator to have the 14 day loan period for General Collection items extended by an additional week, to a total of 21 days.

In special circumstances, such as materials requiring brailing or recording, longer loan periods may be negotiated.

Postgraduate students and staff may also request extended loan periods.

The extended loan policy does not normally apply to the Reserve Collection, Non-circulating Collection, videos or maps.

Contact the Access Services Coordinator if exceptions are required for these items.
