International Relations Student Services wins state award
18 November, 2005
International Relations Student Services has won the 2005 OSHCAR
Queensland state award for Outstanding Student Support.
The OSHCAR Awards, held as part of insurance provider Worldcare
Assist's annual forum and conference, recognise those institutions
that offer international students an exceptional study
experience.
USC International Relations Student Services Coordinator Melissa
Creed attended the national awards ceremony in Sydney, where USC
was nominated for the national Outstanding Student Support
award.
Ms Creed says although USC did not receive the national award,
which went to Holmesglen Institute of TAFE, it was exciting to be
among the nominees.
"About 100 higher education providers from across Australia were
represented at the evening, so it is an honour to be recognised,"
she says.
Worldcare Assist is USC International Relations' preferred
provider of Overseas Student Health Cover for international
students.
