USC assists Excellence Week at Chancellor College
Chancellor State College has enlisted the help of academics from the University of the Sunshine Coast in staging a Student Excellence Week from October 29 to November 5.
Throughout the week, USC lecturers will lead special presentations and workshops in creative writing, sport science, food science, drama and media studies.
Chancellor State College Head of Department Student Services Ron Harrison said the Student Excellence Week would help enrich and extend Year 8 and 9 students who have displayed a high level of talent in particular fields.
Mr Harrison said the involvement of University academics would make the activities more memorable for the students.
He said teachers from the College also would provide extension workshops for students in maths, science, art and information technology during the week.
