Conference to showcase USC's latest research

The University of the Sunshine Coast will tomorrow (Wednesday 21 November) showcase and celebrate its latest research projects at its annual University Research Conference.

The conference from 9am to 4pm is open to the public and will feature a keynote address by Adjunct Professor John Mendoza, who was chief executive of the Mental Health Council of Australia (2004-2007) and the Australian Sports Drug Agency (2000-2004).

Research into nursing, sport and health, art and business will be presented in concurrent sessions from 11.15am to 1.15pm, while sessions on regional sustainability and biomedicine will be held from 2-3.15pm.

This year’s recipient of the Vice-Chancellor’s Medal for Outstanding University Researcher, Dr Alison Shapcott, also will make a special presentation from 3.15pm.
