New degrees in Psychology and Paramedic Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast have proven popular, ranking among the University’s 10 most sought-after study programs for 2008.

USC has made 65 offers for students in Psychology and 60 offers for Paramedic Science for Semester 1, 2008, following offers made by QTAC (Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre) today.

Nursing Science has again topped the list with 174 offers, followed by Sport and Exercise Science with 100 offers and Graduate Diploma in Education with 98 offers.

A total of 2170 people were today offered places at USC starting Semester 1, 2008, and the figure is set to climb with a second round of offers being made on January 31.

Eighty-two percent of successful QTAC applicants who wanted to study at the University of the Sunshine Coast received their first preferences.

The 2170 offers for places at USC include 1505 offers to Sunshine Coast applicants, 200 to Brisbane residents, 235 from other areas of Queensland and 223 from interstate.
