Gold-medal business advice on offer at USC
The director of a local advertising agency that recently won a joint Telstra/Austrade competition called “Win Business Gold in China” will be the keynote speaker at the University of the Sunshine Coast’s Business Enterprise Day on Monday 11 August.
Jodi Matthews of Six Degrees will discuss different approaches to marketing at the event that has been organised by USC’s Faculty of Business and the Business Educator’s Association of Queensland (BEAQ) for high school students from across the region.
About 200 Year 9 and 10 students are expected to attend this event in the USC Innovation Centre’s auditorium from 9am to 1.50pm.
The students will take part in a range of workshops led by prominent Coast business people and complete a marketing project set for them by Ms Matthews during the course of the day.
The media is welcome to attend the Business Enterprise Day. The best time for filming/photographs will be during Jodi Matthews’ presentation from 9.40-10.15am.
Six Degrees was one of 12 Australian companies that succeeded in the “Win Business Gold in China” competition.
They will join an export delegation that will network with a large number of Chinese companies in Beijing during the Olympic Games.
