USC to hold Careers in Nursing evening
The University of the Sunshine Coast will hold a special Careers in Nursing information evening on Wednesday 5 November from 6-8pm.
This event will outline the diverse range of nursing opportunities available both in Australia and overseas, and provide an overview of the University’s nursing programs.
USC’s Associate Professor in Nursing Janet Allan said those attending the evening would be able to talk one-on-one with academics, industry representatives and current USC Nursing Science students.
“If you are considering a career in health care and are looking for one that is rewarding, fulfilling and enjoys job security, then you should consider nursing and midwifery,” Dr Allan said.
“Also, people looking for a career change could be interested in USC’s graduate entry program.
“This two-year program is designed for people with a degree who are looking for a career in nursing. Information about this program will be available on the night.”
Industry representatives attending will be from Queensland Health, the Sunshine Coast Private Hospital and Eden Heatlhcare, and there will be information available about how to apply to study at USC in 2009.
The presentations will be followed by a tour of USC’s state-of-the-art nursing facilities with demonstrations and the opportunity to talk further with nursing staff and students.
Bookings are essential. To book a seat at this event, please contact USC’s School Liaison Officer Tegan Piggford on 5459 4795.
