Taiwan's Chen Wan Ting says she will leave the University of the Sunshine Coast with the necessary language skills and cultural insight to assist her in her home country.
Chen, who is studying General English at USC, says Australia provides an open and relaxed living environment.
"I love the Sunshine Coast," she says.
"The beach and people here are really friendly and I like my English teacher."
Chen chose the Homestay accommodation option, and is living with a local family during her time at USC. She says she would recommend the University of the Sunshine Coast to other Taiwanese students.
"It's a nice place," Chen says.
