Danielle Tracey decided to study in the United States after meeting American exchange students on the Sunshine Coast.
“I met many American friends who studied at USC for a semester and I saw how much fun they had. I wanted to experience that for myself,” she says.
Danielle decided to study at St Norbert College in Wisconsin to be close to friends and experience a different climate.
“I learnt so much and experienced a lot. I travelled quite a bit around the US and got to see the differences between people from the Midwest compared to people from California or Florida," she says.
“I enjoyed waking up and looking out the window at the first snowfall, as well as living on campus and in minus 20 degree weather.”
Danielle says USC staff were “very helpful” in the lead-up to her departure.
“They provided me with lots of information and resources and made the process very stress-free,” she says.
Danielle received a USC Overseas Study Grant.
