Devis Marcato was searching the Internet for an English school when he discovered the University of the Sunshine Coast.
“I saw USC on the Internet and liked the location and quiet surroundings,” Devis says.
“I also liked the small class sizes and personal attention of the University.”
Location was particularly important to Devis, as his family was accompanying him on his visit to Australia.
“I have an apartment in Mooloolaba which is quiet and relaxing,” he says.
“It is a good location close to the beach and river. It is a good place for family.”
Devis has found the USC campus environment and resources conducive to learning, and is happy with the opportunities he has had to improve his English.
“I like the design of the campus, it is very professional and we have easy access to computers and the Internet—it is very comfortable for students,” he says.
“People who work at the University are outgoing and available (to assist students) and teachers are very helpful.
“I am learning and improving with practice, and I have joined the soccer club which has helped me to meet different people and improve my English—I can see results.”
International Relations staff have also assisted Devis during his time at USC.
“International Relations staff have helped with my visa application and extension and with providing general information,” Devis says.
“Any information I have needed, staff have always been ready to help.”
