Andrew has been lucky enough to live in one of Australia's top tourist destinations all his life, and with a degree in marketing from the University of the Sunshine Coast, he has been able to find his dream job right on here on his doorstep.
After working for Tourism Noosa, Andrew was approached by the Director of Sales and Marketing at Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa, and has now joined their team as Business Development Manager.
Working for a global company with more than 750 properties world-wide has opened a world of opportunities for Andrew - literally.
"After a good grounding here at Sheraton Noosa Resort and Spa, I am looking to venture overseas to ultimately take up a Director of Sales and Marketing position," says Andrew.
"My degree gave me the confidence to succeed in all aspects of my current role."
Andrew put in the hard yards during his degree and completed a minor in tourism as part of his marketing degree.
"My advice to anyone interested in working in a role similar to this is to get your face out in the industry and volunteer for as much work experience as you can," says Andrew.
"Experience, experience, experience. The tourism industry relies on it."
Advice that has certainly paid off for Andrew.
