Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Analyst Marc Castro says his Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Science degree helped give him the edge in the employment market.
The 25-year-old, who conducts internal auditing for Deloitte in Brisbane, says high quality staff combined with relevant courses meant he was prepared for all facets of his role.
"My combined knowledge in Business and Information Systems helped me gain my position, and in my daily duties I utilise many skills learned at USC," Marc says.
"USC has good lecturers and tutors who care about their students, and more personalised teaching."
Marc, who went through a four-stage recruitment process at Deloitte, including an online application, online assessment, group role-play exercise and final interview, says it is important for students to familiarise themselves with the industry they are interested in.
"Get exposure to the industry as soon as possible so you know the skills required to succeed," he says.
