Elyse Wohling
Scholarship recipient
USC Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business student Elyse Wohling received two scholarships and a bursary to help her manage the costs of full-time study.
By applying for financial support, Elyse found it easier to cover many of her expenses.
She was awarded the Rod and Jan Forrester Scholarship in Business; the Australian Federation of University Women Queensland Sunshine Coast Branch Bursary; and a Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship.
“The scholarships paid for texts, reduced stress and helped me provide for myself financially,” she says.
Elyse says she chose her combined USC degree because it matched her passion and desire to one day travel the world and help those in need.
With majors in international relations and politics and international business, Elyse is now working in the Australian Passport Office of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
She gained the position after meeting the State Director of DFAT at an information session held on the USC campus.
Now in her third year of undergraduate study, Elyse plans to continue her studies at USC by enrolling in an honours program.
“The support from USC staff is incredible,” she says.
